Moonglow Pear is one of the disease resistant, very easy to grow and heavy bearer. It blooms creamy white flowers in early-mid spring followed by medium-large yellow green with a hint of red on the skin, oval shaped fruits. The flesh is white, soft and juicy that makes it perfect for eating fresh or for canning, baking, preserves. It is not a self-fertile and requires another pear with the same time bloom period to produce fruits. Fruits will be ready to harvest in August to September. Annually pruning and thinning is essential to maintain the health, shape and to ensure good yield of the crop. Plant it in full sun and well-drained soil. It matures to 15-20ft tall and wide.
