It is a hybrid dogwood (Cornus florida x Cornus kousa). It produces pinkish white large blooms (3-5" in diameter) that blooms in spring after it leafed out. True flowers are small and in clusters with four brackts attached. The lush green foliage remain during summer and it turns purple red in fall. It matures up to 15-20ft tall and wide. It is one of most disease resistant dogwood.
